What is the Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly-funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to close the gap between them and their peers.      The funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools such as Special Schools and Pupil Referral Units.

 Who is the Pupil Premium for?

The Pupil Premium is primarily aimed at Reception to Year 11 pupils who are from low-income families and are eligible for benefit related Free School Meals (FSM) or who have been registered for FSM at any point in the last six years.
